WHAT IS THIS SYSTEM?
The Cavity drain membrane system is a Type C form of waterproofing that are polythene sheets that lines the walls and floor, where any water ingress, or moisture seepage through a structure is to drain behind the cavity to a drainage channel & then onto a suitable drainage location that is often a sump pump system.
The system introduces minimal pressure on the structure where the water is not being resisted but managed and pumped away, it is essential the system is maintained in accordance with British Standards.
