We were instructed to undertake specialist waterproofing works to a multi-million-pound listed property located within very close proximity to the River Thames. Being close to the river adds an extra level of caution required due to both the risk of flooding from the river, or an increase in ground-saturation.
The property required a Grade 3 habitable environment in accordance with BS 8102 2022, where we worked closely with Newton Waterproofing to install the appropriate waterproofing system.
We installed both a cementitious Type A waterproofing barrier followed by the Type C cavity drain membrane system with perimeter channels to direct any groundwater to the sump pump system.
